Cambodia is located in warm southeast Asia. It is home to some of the most friendly, hospitable people you will find in the world. Cambodia is known for its vast rice paddies and hard-working farmers, and exports over 600,000 tons of rice to more than 60 countries each year. Along with rice, many of the locals include fish in their daily diets.
During the late 1970’s, Pol Pot took over Cambodia and committed egregious atrocities by killing around 2 million Khmer people. Today, many of the older generation still have terrifying nightmares of the horrid scenes they were exposed to at a young age. This has led to depression, alcoholism, fear, distrust, and broken families. Only the power of Christ can break these chains of bondage.
In 2017, the DNI Cambodia team founded an NGO called Redeeming Rain Organization to reach out into the community. Our team seeks to bring the truth of the Gospel to our neighbors and community so that they can experience God’s love and saving grace! We do this by hosting Bible studies, worship services, financial education classes, English classes, health education classes, and dorms for university students.

Redeeming Rain Organization - General Fund
The General Fund is used to cover general expenses for the Redeeming Rain Organization. This includes salaries for one admin staff, one accountant, and one night guard, it also includes taxes, supplies, maintenance, utilities, legal fees, employee training, and staff retreats.

Redeeming Rain Organization - English Program
Purpose: Teach English to members of our community to enable them to get a better job.
Activity: Teach basic, intermediate, advanced levels of English to children, youth and adults. We have two terms per year, and each term is 5 months long. Each term we average around 85 enrolled students that are split into morning, afternoon, and evening classes. Bible classes are held with the students twice per week and some of them have started attending our worship service on Sunday mornings.

Redeeming Rain Organization - University Dormitory
Purpose: Provide safe, low-cost housing for university students coming from all over Cambodia to study in Phnom Penh.
Activity: Our facility can house 12-20 university students. We offer English classes, Bible classes, and one-on-one mentoring to each of our students. We also provide opportunities for our students to attend occasional extracurricular classes to help them grow personally.
