The ancient Silk Road was a network of trading routes stretching from China through Central Asia and the Middle East to Western Europe. Silk, spices, and other goods flowed east and west along these routes, along with ideas and religions. Today, refugees and immigrants travel the metaphorical Silk Road from Central Asia and the middle east into Europe, fleeing conflict, persecution, and violence. 

Along the way, some of these encounter Jesus and become believers (many in Türkiye or Greece where evangelistic ministries are more concentrated). However, as they continue on their journey to their final destination in Western Europe, these believers often have little to no discipleship and grow cold in their faith or revert to Islam.

This vision of the Silk Road Team was born out of this need. As a team located in Western Europe, we exist to see these dislocated believers become thriving disciples. We support them in forming local faith communities or integrating into existing churches. We partner with local European churches and immigrant-led ministries. We also provide mentoring and discipleship directly. Our long-term vision is to see the Gospel travel back along the Silk Road into the home countries of these believers as they share with their friends and families.
